Overview

Three Musketeers is a 9-elixir rare troop that deploys three Musketeers at once. When placed in the center, they automatically split 1+2 across lanes, creating dual-lane pressure that forces the opponent to defend both sides simultaneously. Each Musketeer deals high single-target DPS and attacks both air and ground — three of them on a tower melt it in seconds. The card's massive cost means it lives or dies by Elixir Collector economy and the player's ability to punish spell usage.

Current ladder usage is ~2%. Despite the niche usage, dedicated 3M specialists reach extreme heights — Lrip holds #1 at 3616 trophies and Lripware✨ sits at #2 with 3576. The Oct 2026 meta revolves around two core shells: the Monk + Elite Barbarians Evo + Rage variant (the dominant one), and the bridge spam variant with Royal Ghost Evo + Bandit + Hero Ice Golem. Across ~8.95M battles, 3M appeared in 10,823 deck matchups with 20+ archetypes.

Top 3 Archetypes (Oct 2026)

1. HeroIG 3M EvoGhost Bridge Spam

Elite Barbarians Evo · Hero Ice Golem · Royal Ghost Evo · Three Musketeers · Bandit · Zap · Heal Spirit · Elixir Collector — Avg 4.0

The most popular 3M archetype in Oct 2026, accounting for 9.31% of all 3M games (1,008 battles). Hero Ice Golem provides a cheap tank with an active ability that slows enemies on death. Royal Ghost Evo is the invisible bridge spam piece — deploy it at the bridge alongside the 2-Musketeer lane and the opponent can't pre-place a counter. Elite Barbarians Evo deliver punish pressure when the opponent spends big spells on 3M. Bandit dashes through for chip and acts as a mini-tank. Heal Spirit keeps the Musketeers alive through splash damage. Storm™️ (#3 at 3537) runs this shell.

2. Monk 3M Rage Pump

Elite Barbarians Evo · Monk · Knight Evo · Three Musketeers · Archers · Heal Spirit · Rage · Elixir Collector — Avg 4.4

The aggressive variant favored by the #1 and #2 global 3M players (Lrip at 3616, Lripware✨ at 3576). Monk reflects spells — if the opponent tries to Fireball/Poison the 2-Musketeer lane, Monk's ability sends it back, completely flipping the elixir trade. Rage amplifies the already-devastating 3M DPS to absurd levels: three Raged Musketeers shred a tower in under 4 seconds. Knight Evo is the cheap tank that walks ahead of the 1-Musketeer lane. Archers provide Fireball-bait — if the opponent Fireballs Archers, they can't Fireball 3M. 5 of the top 20 3M players run this exact list.

3. GK 3M EvoGhost Pump

Elite Barbarians Evo · Golden Knight · Royal Ghost Evo · Three Musketeers · Ice Golem · Zap · Heal Spirit · Elixir Collector — Avg 4.1

The Golden Knight variant — his dash ability chains through multiple defending units, disrupting the opponent's response to the 3M split. Royal Ghost Evo provides invisible bridge spam pressure. Ice Golem is the 2-elixir kite and tank piece that pulls Pekka, Mini Pekka, and other single-target threats into the center. This shell is used by Ruam (#6 at 3298) and セラーノ12 (#15 at 3125). At 4.1 average elixir it's slightly cheaper than the Monk Rage variant, trading raw aggression for Golden Knight's utility.

How to Pilot Three Musketeers

  • Pump first, 3M later. Never play 3M in single elixir without a Pump advantage. Place Elixir Collector early, defend cheaply, and wait for double elixir. If Pump gets Fireballed, that means their Fireball is out of cycle for 3M.
  • Split in the back. Place 3M behind your King Tower so they split 1+2. The 2-Musketeer side is your main push — add a tank (Ice Golem, Knight Evo, Royal Ghost Evo) in front. The solo Musketeer on the other side forces a response or chips for free.
  • Track their big spell. The entire archetype revolves around baiting Fireball/Poison/Lightning. If their big spell is out of cycle, immediately drop 3M. If it's in cycle, play Archers or Pump to bait it first.
  • Monk reflects spells. In the Rage variant, place Monk next to the 2-Musketeer lane. When the opponent Fireballs, activate Monk's ability to reflect the damage back. This turns a -5 trade into a +5 swing.
  • Don't overcommit one lane. 3M's power is dual-lane pressure. If you stack everything in one lane, the opponent defends with one big card (Pekka, Mega Knight) and counter-pushes the empty lane.

Hard Counters to Three Musketeers

  • Fireball + Log / Arrows — Fireball the 2-Musketeer side, then Log or Arrows to finish. 6 elixir to neutralize 6 elixir worth of Musketeers (the 2-side). Massively positive trade.
  • Lightning — Lightning hits 3 targets. If 3M are clumped with a Pump or tank, Lightning can delete the entire push. 6 elixir for a devastating trade.
  • Poison + Miner — Poison the 2-Musketeer lane while Miner tanks tower shots. Poison ticks kill all three Musketeers over time if they're not healed.
  • Rush the opposite lane — 3M costs 9 elixir. The moment they drop it, rush the other lane hard. Hog Rider, Elite Barbarians, or bridge spam forces them to defend with the solo Musketeer side, which isn't enough.
  • Destroy the Pump — Without Elixir Collector, 3M decks can't sustain the 9-elixir investment. Fireball or Earthquake the Pump every time it's placed. Miner on Pump is also effective.

FAQ

Is Three Musketeers viable in Oct 2026?

Yes, but niche. 2% usage with #1 at 3616. The Nov 2025 rework (Season 77) revitalized the card and it has maintained a dedicated player base since. You need to master spell-baiting and elixir management to succeed.

Monk Rage or Bridge Spam variant?

Monk Rage is more aggressive and has the highest trophy ceiling (#1 and #2 global). Bridge Spam (HeroIG + EvoGhost) is more consistent and has higher overall usage (9.31% vs 7.99%). Pick Monk if you want raw power, Bridge Spam if you want flexibility.

Why is Elixir Collector so important for 3M?

56.45% co-play rate — by far the #1 most co-played card. 3M costs 9 elixir, which is the most expensive card in the game. Without Pump generating extra elixir, you can never afford to play 3M and defend simultaneously. Pump also acts as Fireball bait — if they Fireball the Pump, they can't Fireball 3M.
